Lilacs
Shelburne Museum's famed lilacs reach full bloom in mid to late May. Over 400 representing about 90 varieties are planted throughout the Museum's 45 acres, and the Museum has one of the largest collections in New England open to the public. Each May, the Museum hosts Lilac and Gardening Sunday, a daylong event featuring guided walking tours of the lilacs and a diverse schedule of garden-related programs.
